Ugly Jug (Sprouts a Hyacinth)

by My Pleasure

No one took notice when your baskets were in bloom. Your garden is north facing but some time around noon, every plant and every vegetable gets exactly what it needs to flourish.
Think about a flower. It doesn't try to be a tree. It knows it is a flower and that it always will be. Sorry, I forgot what point I was trying to make.
Your ugly jug sprouted a perfect hyacinth. That was unexpected given the pot it was in. This trite observation I feel really sums me up as a father.

We are trying to reach perfection. Multiplying by the million. Improving through evolution. Billions of species on billions of planets in billions of galaxies. The law of averages suggests we'll get there eventually and maybe that's the point — to create the perfect creature and it will be held up like a God. Am I the perfect one? No. But I might be its ancestor. A small part of the jigsaw and I guess I can be proud of that, but hold up for a second... it's the 3rd of October 2015. How is it possible out of the billions of animals, humans and plants that have ever existed, we have reached perfection at this exact moment and I am witness to it!

You are the brightest star. Makes you sick, doesn't it?
